well, i didn’t want to be just a girl. i wanted to be an exhausted, busy girl. the one who would roam around the city mostly not because of fun. the one who would have to buy a planner out of hectic routine in a bustling city. the one who appreciates the wind that blows in a rare free weekend.
it is partly because i loathe the society’s idea of how women should pick wisely of whom they would be married to—for a reason of avoiding poverty. but it is mostly because i simply wanted to be a girl—a woman, soon enough—who can pay her own bills.
