Poetry #61

An Unknown Entity

dancing in grace as constantly grazed,
languid and cold yet longs for someone to hold,
far from cream of end yet want it seized,
vague but firm in a monochrome so bold.

a master of nectaries meant for clipped butterflies,
and to a starry night sky is a dreamer,
a wondering wanderer on the flips and flops on brown pages;
truly a powerful colorful paint cloaked on rain water.

lastly, i’d call you again a fire of blue and white,
calming, soothing yet seeks for fiery fight—
one that lits you even brighter and higher and better,
despite thy lethargic smoke you bear.

a falling masterpiece drowned in water yet suffocated in air,
baffled while baffling i in your art all said above,
focus on your quandary as you get what you already have,
but until then, you are to me only an unknown entity.
