DRUERY
ain’t complication,
but mere clarification.
flowers symbolize my love
offered to you with all i have.
please appreciate this gesture,
yet do not accept if you are not sure.
sweetest words from my heart of purity,
said i to you with all the sincerity.
smile and make me feel appreciated.
but don’t answer yet as if sincerely said.
poems and songs prepared for thee,
hoping all of these would end successfully,
yet if still failed to captivate your love,
please end thy courtship, make me stop.
though i love you enough,
may you not hurt thy heart,
for making it happily laugh
by such sweet lies of a smart.
though i love you enough,
i’d prefer an answer you truly meant,
than any comforting bluff,
for i do not wish a figurative death.
and so, if after all, i will understand
that you didn’t fall, can’t take your hand.
this is not a mere complication of a man.
just clarification about how love is offered by one.
